Privacy policy
We build cameras, so we take this seriously. The short version: your footage is yours, it stays on your device and network by default, and we collect as little as we can get away with.
On-device by default. The EOT-1 processes video on the camera itself, on your own network. Footage and detections are not streamed to our servers unless you explicitly turn on a feature that requires it.
This policy explains what EyeOfTheTiger.ai (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers our website, the EOT-1 device, the platform, and the marketplace. We’re a UK company and follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
Account & orders. When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect your name, email, and (for purchases) shipping and billing details. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we never see or store full card numbers.
Camera footage & detections. Video from your EOT-1 is processed on the device, on your network. We don’t receive it by default. If you enable a feature that needs the cloud (remote viewing, off-site backup, or a specific marketplace app), only the data that feature needs leaves the device, and we tell you before it does.
Usage & diagnostics. We collect basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the website and platform are used, plus crash and performance diagnostics, so we can fix bugs and improve the product. This is aggregated wherever possible and never includes your video.
How we use it
To fulfil orders and support you, to operate and improve the device, platform, and marketplace, to process payments and developer payouts, to keep accounts secure, and to send you service messages. We only send marketing email if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business (payment processors, shipping carriers, hosting, email, and analytics) under contracts that limit them to our instructions. When you install a marketplace app, the developer of that app is responsible for what their app does with the data it’s granted; we show you those permissions before you install.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies: ones that are strictly necessary for it to work, and optional ones for analytics. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser or our cookie settings.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order records for as long as you have an account and as long as the law requires afterwards (for example, tax records). On-device footage is kept according to your own retention settings on the EOT-1, and you control it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
Our products aren’t intended for children to set up or operate, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above. For significant changes we’ll give you notice through the product or by email.
